Making tips
Lock in the black outline
Place the black outline for the large beak, head/body, short tail, and thin feet first. The beak spans more than half the width — align it before filling.
Fill gray wings and white face/chest
Inside the outline, lay the deep-gray body, wings, and tail, then the large white face/chest block so the main masses feel solid before the beak gradient.
Layer the orange-yellow-red beak
From the black tip toward the base, place yellow, orange, and red bands, watching the upper/lower mandible split. The bands are narrow — match the chart section by section.
Finish the eye ring and thin feet
Add the yellow eye ring and single eye last, and confirm both thin feet are attached. Scan rare accents once more when you finish.
Final check before ironing
Double-check the beak tip and foot joins, beak color bands, and white chest edge before you iron.
Helpful tips
- Work in zones — outline, gray wings and white chest, beak gradient, then eye/feet — and recheck the beak bands once on their own.
- The high-contrast beak bands are narrow; a one-bead shift muddies the gradient — place the split line before filling.
- Feet and the tail base are narrow — recheck those joins for missing beads before ironing.
