Making tips
Lock in head, striped body, wings
Place the deep-brown outline for the round head, plump body, and two wings first. Front and back wings differ in size — do not mirror them.
Fill yellow body and white wings
Lay bright yellow on the head/body and white inside the wings. At 48×48, finish body then wings as zones so the main fills are solid.
Add the dark body stripes
Deep-brown vertical bands alternate with yellow. Match each stripe width on the chart instead of spacing them evenly by eye.
Finish antennae, eye, wing highlights
Add antennae, eye, tiny legs, pale gray wing-edge highlights, and any warm face accent last. Single-count beads deserve a final scan.
Final check before ironing
Double-check stripe spacing, closed wing outlines, antennae, and pale wing highlights before you iron.
