Making tips
Lock crest and body outline
Place the dark outline for the pointed crest, round body, short tail, and soft gray perch first. Keep the crest tip triangular and sharp.
Fill scarlet head and body
Lay large scarlet fields across head, body, and tail so the main blocks feel solid before wing shading.
Add deep-red wing and black mask
Place deep-red wing and belly shading, then the black face mask around the beak. The mask is small but signature — align it to the beak root.
Finish orange beak and claws
Add the orange-yellow beak with pale highlight, black eye and claws, and gray perch shadow. Scan rare beak highlights once more when done.
Final check before ironing
Double-check a sharp crest tip, complete black mask, and correct deep-red wing boundary before you iron.
