Making tips

  1. Lock in head, body, beak, feet

Place the outline for the round head, body, pointed beak, and two dark clawed feet first to set the side stance. Toes are fine — map that outline carefully.

  2. Fill blue back, orange breast, cream belly

Lay bright blue on the back, warm orange on the breast, and cream on the belly. At 64×64, finish back, breast, and belly as three zones.

  3. Add deep blue wing and back shading

Use deeper blues for overlapping wing and tail shadows; the neck–breast join may include soft transition beads. Similar blues mix easily — match the chart row by row.

  4. Place eye highlight and beak tip

Finish the beak tip and the pale catchlight in the eye. That highlight is only a bead or two — scan it once more when done.

  5. Final check before ironing

Double-check clawed toes, blue–orange–cream boundaries, deep wing shading, and the eye highlight before you iron.
